This is a silvered electrotype medal made in the 19th century. This medal was copied from the 18th century original signed "I. C. (John Croker)," commemorating the capture of the rebels at Preston. The obverse of this medal represents a profile bust of King George I., and the reverse shows a military trophy on a pedestal, at the foot of which are captives chained, and the words "Fides militum. Rebell. ad Preston capt. 13 Nov. 1715."
