This is a silver medal made in the 19th century, in England, and signed "W. Wyon, R. A." The obverse of this medal is embossed with a man on a piece of a wreck, and a boat's crew rescuing the drowning, and the words "Lord save us: we perish." The reverse is embossed with the crest of the town of Liverpool within an oak wreath, and the legend "Liverpool Shipwreck and Humane Society, 1839."
