This is a silver medal made in the 19th century, in England, and signed "W. Wyon." The obverse of this medal represents a profile head of King George IV and the inscription "Royal National Institution for the preservation of life from Shipwreack, George the Fourth, Patron, 1824." The reverse shows a boat's crew rescuing a drowning man, and the words "Let not the deep swallow me up."
