Object history
Notes: This was the first royal sitting for the photographer. It took place on 19 October 1960. The photographs taken were intended for release on the occasion of the royal tour to India and Pakistan. Photographs from the series were published in several different sizes. The print would have been given to the Museum on the occasion of a visit to the Museum by the H.M. The Queen Elizabeth II, presumably in 1962.
