Earthenware mug of standard mug form, with straight-sides and a symmetrical handle. Glazed black and with images printed in gold, silver and white. White clouds, two gold air force men and a Spitfire aeroplane, and silver light beams. The following is written in gold: "The RAF Benevolent Fund’s Battle of Britain 50th Anniversary Appeal", and at the bottom "Designed by the Mitchell High School".
