Bone china mug of elegant commemorative shape. Slightly “baroque”, cursive body, widening out to a wavy lip, jointed handle. Glazed with rimmed in gold leaf, printed motif on the front of Pope John-Paul II in greys and flesh-tints, surrounded by Papal regalia. Above is written “To Commemorate the visit of” and below, on a scroll “His Holiness Pope John Paul II”. The date 1982 and the Pope’s signature are under his image. On the back is the Papal Crown.
