This is a silver medal made in the 19th century, in England, designed by Benjamin West P.R.A., and signed "Pidgeon." The obverse of this medal represents the profile head of General Sir Ralph Abercromby and the legend "Abercrombius dux in Egypto cecidit victor, 28 Mar. 1801." The reverse shows a Highlander defending the colours, and a Gaelic inscription "Na fir a choisin buaidh san ephait, 21 Mar. 1801." The rim is inscribed "By the Highland Socy of London."
