This is a silvered electrotype medal made in the 19th century, in England. This The obverse of this medal represents the profile head of the Duke of Wellington. The reverse shows the inscription "Presented by Lieut.-Colonel Airey, and the officers of the 34th Regt to Barrack-Serjeant Moses Simpson, late Sergt-Major of the 2nd. Battn 34th Regt, in commemoration of his gallant conduct as Sergeant of Grenadiers at the action of Arroyo di Mulinos in Spain, on the 28th October 1811, when he took from the Drum-Major of the French 34th Regt of the Line the Regimental Staff, which has ever since been carried at the head of the British 34th Regt. June 1843." This medal has a swivel and ribbon.
