This is a silvered electrotype medal made in the 19th century, in England. This medal was copied from the 18th century original signed "L. P. F." The obverse of this medal represents Hercules placing a wreath on the head of a young warrior and the words "Order of Merit, estab. MDCCLXXXV." The reverse shows the inscriptions "XXII, or Cheshire Regiment," "Reward for military virtue. From Lt-Col. Crosbie" within a wreath. This medal has a swivel and ribbon.
