Dish of porcelain, painted with overglaze enamels in the famille verte palette. Round the rim a border of flowered coin-diaper in colours on the white ground, broken by six bracket-panels containing formal flowers in colours on white ground. In the centre, a garden scene with two ladies. On the left, a lady attired in blue sitting on green rocks; before her a table on which lies a qin in its case; behind her a tree. On the right, the second lady, seated on the far side of a fence which runs across the scene; she is seated at a table on which stand a teapot, two teacups and a censer. In the background, rocks and flowers. In the foreground, rocks and flowers and two butterflies.
