This is a silvered electrotype medal made in the 19th century, in England. The obverse of this medal represents a crown between two lances, the figure and 9, the words "Queen's Royal Lances. Peninsula." The reverse shows the inscription "presented to Regtl. Serjt.-Major Thomas Godding by the officers of his Regiment, as a token of esteem, and in testimony of his faithful and meritorious services for upwards of 32 years. March 1837." This medal has a ring and ribbon.
