Carpet end of kelim with fringe. The red ground is embroidered with egg-shaped striped motifs in blue, regularly arranged.
WARP: light brown wool; Z2S; 14 threads per inch (54 per dm).
WEFT: Foundation: red and green wool; Z spun, unplied: 2 parallel threads per shoot; 30 threads per inch (108 per dm); Pattern: blue and green wool; Z spun, unplied; 3 parallel threads per shoot.
SIDE FINISH: Left: 6 sets of 3 warp threads making a web with thick, dark brown, supplementary weft. Right: cut
END FINISH: Lower: plain weave with paired cream weft (maximum 1.5 cm.) and loose warp threads. Upper: cut
DESIGN: Field: red ground; lower end has two passes of red and green soumak. Halfway up there is a green band of 1.2 cm. and traces of a blue band at the upper edge. Above and below the green band there is a row of identical geometric motifs - some green, some blue.
