Bag face of knotted woollen pile.
WARP: white wool; Z2S; 23 threads per inch (100 per dm).
WEFT: light brown wool; Z2S; 2 shoots after every row of knots; 19 knots per inch (80 per dm).
PILE: wool; 9 colours: dark red, red, light red, yellow, dark green, dark blue, light pink, dark brown, white; asymmetrical knot open to the left and tied around 2 threads; 218 knots per sq. inch (4000 per sq. dm).
SIDE FINISH: 2 cords oversewn with red wool.
END FINISH: Lower: 5 cms. plain weave, turned and stitched in place; one row of symmetrical knots tied around 6 threads (to form a blue (?) fringe). Upper 2.5 cms. plain weave.
DESIGN: field: red ground; rectangle with central band of four guls bordered by niches and rectangular blocks.
Main border: red ground; guls containing cross-shapes alternating with X-shaped motifs.
Inner and outer border: red ground with bracketed diamonds.
Outermost border: red ground with hooked zigzag along both sides and V-motifs on zigzag on top and bottom.
