Artist/Maker
Place of origin

This small sculptural work was modelled by Anders Liljefors and produced by the Gustavsberg ceramics factory. Liljefors adapted a technique of casting liquid clay in damp sand that had previously been employed to produce bathroom tiles. The striking results demonstrated Liljefors' will to develop free creativity and artistry within what was still seen as a craft.
