Small boater hat covered in white silk and trimmed with white artificial flowers and black velvet ribbon. High crown with a flat top and narrow brim. The brim and crown are covered in white silk, half basket weave, which overlaps a circle of black velvet on the flat top.

The crown is circled by a broad black velvet ribbon which terminates in large bows at the back and front. At each side are the silk flowers. White silk net veil is attached to the front.

A black tubular elastic hat stay is secured under an inner white grosgrain band.
