'Phonosuper' radiogram, SK55 Dieter Rams (born 1932) and Hans Gugelot (1920-65) 1963 In 1954, German manufacturer Braun invited the HfG to take charge of its design programme. Gugelot worked with a company team headed by architect Dieter Rams. The SK4 radiogram, known as 'Snow White's Coffin' because of its clear plastic lid, epitomised the severe, minimalist aesthetic which became the hallmark of Braun. The SK55, a later model, incorporated some design changes made by Rams in the early 1960s. West Germany Manufactured by Braun AG, Taunus Metal, wood and acrylic plastic V&A: W.51-1978(September 2008)
