Bell-shaped bowl terminating in a scroll-form, the whole intended to resemble a cornucopia. Stem consisting of a thick Merese, an inverted baluster, and a second merese. The massive cover is of depressed hemispherical form, with a rim to support it on the lip of the globlet, and a knob consisting of a piriform finial mounted on a composite socle formed of one large and two small mereses. Round the cup of the goblet, and the cover, run interlacing scrolls of acanthus leaves engraved in relief. The stem of the goblet and the knob of the cover are similarly carved in high relief with vertically disposed acanthus leaves.
