Bibliographic reference
Adam Bowett, English Furniture 1660-1714, (Woodbridge, 2002), figs. 7:25 (detail showing wedged dustboards) and 7:26 Scriptor (1710-30) walnut on a deal carcase. This piece has second-phase construction throughout, suggesting it was made rather later than its external appearance might suggest. The metalware and feet are not original.
