Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Wedding dress and petticoat of white silk crêpe.

The dress is full-length with a high round neck. The bodice, which is gathered in the high-waisted skirt, has a chevron waist seam with the centre point rising toward the bosom. A long oval train is joined in one with the skirt at the back. The bodice fastens at the back with small self-covered buttons from the neck to the top of the v-shaped yoke where it is attached with hooks and eyes. The neck is trimmed with a wreath of small white piqué daisies, and wreaths of the same, which are graduated in size, trim the train. The tight sleeves are long with spiral tucks and shaped to a point on the back of the hand. Machine-stitched and hand-finished.

The petticoat has a bodice with a high round neck which fastens at the shoulder and is sleeveless. The skirt, which is of heavier silk, is shaped into a high v-shaped yoke, back and front, and is double at the back. It fastens at the side.
