Physical description

Wedding dress of shiny faced cream satin veiled in chiffon and covered with crystalline organza. It is trimmed with painted shaded pale blue fabric applique, feather stitches in cream and gilt with long silver beads applied.

[Wedding bodice] Bodice of waist length with long sleeves gauged at the shoulders, and fastening at the writst with paste buttons. There is an inserted silk vest which has a high boned lace collar. The trimming is arranged to suggest a bolero jacket, and it is lined with cream silk. The bodice fastens with hooks and eyes at the centre front.
[Wedding skirt] Skirt which is trained and trimmed at the centre back and front. There is a border and a flounce edged with silver ribbon at the hem. The train is lined with satin, which is also used to face the hem, additionally trimmed with a gathered tulle dust frill. It fastens at the centre back with hooks and eyes.
[Wedding sash] Sash of chiffon with stiffener and frills at each end.
[Wedding wreath] Orange blossom wreath.
