This statuette, representing St. John the Evangelist, is made by an unkown artist in Florence in the late 15th century and is related in style to Benedetto da Majano.

The figure seems to be a model for a Crucifixion group.

The Saint is represented in full-length on a shallow circular naturalistic base, with hands clasped and head turned back. He wears a cloak over a loose robe. The statuette is left in the rough behind
