Vase
Artist/Maker |
This vase was produced in the imperial kilns of Jingdezhen in southern China during the Kangxi reign (1662-1722) of the Qing dynasty. The green glaze, obtained by adding copper oxide, was applied to a high-fired transparent glaze and fired at a lower temperature.
The slender and elegant shape of this vase, enhanced by its tall wooden stand, would have made a pleasant decorative object to put on display on desks or tables.
