Physical description
Cup and saucer of soft-paste porcelain. Both pieces are decorated with a border of roses in natural colours on a black band between two laurel wreaths. The handle of the cup is decorated with gilt foliage.
Marks and inscriptions
'D' surmounted by a crown and crossed batons and six dots (Maker's mark painted (overglaze) in mauve on underside of both pieces)

Production
Impressed marks were used at Derby from ca. 1787-1788.
