Production
Decoration previously attributed to Richard Askew, who, however, did not work at Derby until 1794.

Charlotte Jacob-Hanson has attributed the decoration Fidelle Duvivier, stating there are many comparable examples of Boucher-inspired putti decoration produced at every manufactory he worked. She cites a Mennecy porcelain jug, c.1766-68, at Hinton Ampner to illustrate the similarity in painted decoration.
