The cup has a loop handle and is painted with figures in a landscape with ruins and a castle. The saucer is painted with ruins seen between two clumps of trees. Both have borders of rococo scrollwork in gold and scattered sprigs of flowers.

Physical description
The cup has a loop handle and is painted with figures in a landscape with ruins and a castle. The saucer is painted with ruins seen between two clumps of trees. Both have borders of rococo scrollwork in gold and scattered sprigs of flowers.

Object history
The saucer was made in Fürstenberg and the cup is evidently a replacement made at Derby for the original cup. Formerly owned by Major W.H. Tapp, M.C.
Production
Register - the saucer is German (Fürstenberg) about 1770. The cup replaced at Derby a little later.
