Figure of a shepherd playing bag-pipes in soft-paste porcelain painted in enamels and gilded. He is seated on a mound from which grows clumps of 'bocage' and has a hound at his side. He wears a short-sleeved turquoise garment over a coat with a flowered pattern, yellow knee-breeches and a black hat with a floral cresting. The base is modelled as rococo scrolls.
