Figure of a shepherdess playing a mandoline or lute in soft-paste porcelain painted in enamels and gilded. She is seated on a mound from which grows clumps of 'bocage' and has a lamb at her side. She wears a short-sleeved pink bodice a white garment, yellow over-skirt, flowered dress, and a turquoise turban or scarf with jewelled clasp. The base is modelled as rococo scrolls.
