This white marble bust depicts Marie Antoinette. The bust was made in France during the 19th century. Marie Antoinette, daughter of Maria Theresa and the Emperor Francis I, was born in 1755, and married Louis XVI in 1770. After the outbreak of the French Revolution, she was imprisoned, tried and condemned to the guillotine in 1793.
