This pair of bronze statuettes represents Night and Day. 'Night' is a recumbent female reposes on a scrolled base with a cresent in her hair while 'Dawn' is represented as a nude reclining figure, with flowing veil. The figures are reduced copies of figures from the tomb of Giuliano de Medici, by Michaelangelo in Florence.
