Physical description
Four proofs of labels for Duchess of Devonshire's sauces in a red and black card presentation folder, protected by melinex flap. The labels are; Recurrent jelly with whole fruit, Cumberland sauce with port, Mayonnaise with fine herbs, and Apple mint jelly. Each features a colour illustration relating to the Devonshire estate; the house and a deer, a pig and part of the house, a bridge and man fishing, a horned sheep with the house in the background. Each has a decorative border on either side, featuring a fish, acorn, apple, leaves and berries and a blue shape resembling a river in abstract form. The labels are shaped in the basic form of a rectangle with 'cupola' shape top centre, and with a wing on either side in yellow to hold the text of the ingredients.
