Historical context | A jug of the same shape with painted decoration attributed to Helmhack is illustrated in Bosch (see Refs., fig.3). The jug is considered to have been made in Hanau. Fig. 5 shows a jug with painted decoration attributed to Helmhack similar to that on this jug (C.199-1923). |
