The number on the bottom 'no 6' seems to be an indication of the size of the object. A jug of similar size in the Hague is also marked 'no 6', while two slightly larger ones are marked 'no 7'. The Hague 1999, pp. 35-26 discussion on standard sizes, mostly of dishes and plates and saggers, also appendix 1 and 2.
