Dish, painted in the same colours as No.1089A. In the middle, a medallion enclosed by eight radial panels within a wreath of ribbon foliage. Of the panels six are filled with acanthus-foliage reserved on grounds hatched alternately in blue and brownish orange, the two remainder contain each two half figures of naked boys grasping the stalks of plants between them. In the medallion a shield with the arms of Visconti, of Milan (Argent a viper undulating azure crowned or, devouring a child gules), ensigned with a coronet and a green bishop's hat. On the rim, a wavy foliated band in reserve on a blue ground. The back plain.
