The caster is piriform, standing on a pedestal foot, and both are roughly octagonal in section; alternate sides being fluted. The screw-cover is pierced with rosette forms and groups of holes picked out in blue, crimson and yellow and is surmounted by a green pineapple knob. The painted decoration consists of a bouquet and smaller sprays of flowers and leaves in purple-yellow, green, blue, red and crimson.
