Fountain in the form of a group in high relief depicting Mercury and Paris. Mercury in winged cap, carrying the apple, approaching the sleeping Paris whio lies asleep in armour.
The white horse of Paris stands behind, tied to a tree, against a mound with a turret on it. In the front of the base is hole.

Physical description
Fountain in the form of a group in high relief depicting Mercury and Paris. Mercury in winged cap, carrying the apple, approaching the sleeping Paris whio lies asleep in armour.

Table fountain Italy, Faenza, circa 1505 Mercury presents Paris with the apple which he must award to the fairest goddess. Water would have been poured into the turret and then released from a tap fitted under Paris' hand. Museum Number 551-1864(10/09/2008)

Typical inside as far as one can see. Probably from the same workshop as inkwell in the Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche, Faenza.
