Bought from Mr. Charles Fairfax Murray, London, for 5s.
Production
Prof. Otto Mazzucato, V. Umanesimo 307, Rome, wrote to say that fragments similar to these pieces have been excavated in Rome and he is in no doubt that these bowls can be attributed to Rome. He enclosed a photo of a bowl very likely no. 172 that is in the Museo di Palazzo di Venezia, Rome.
