  • CHOCOLATE CUP (JICARA) AND STAND (MANCERINA) About 1746-60 A mancerina has small rings to hold the handle-less cups used for drinking chocolate. It was invented in the late 17th century by the 1st Marquis of Mancera, Viceroy of Peru, with the help of his metal smith. Other examples are made in silver.
