Object history | Purchase. Formerly in the collection of Juan Facundo Riaño. Part of a revival of cuerda seca technique in the late 15th and early 16th centuries at the time of Ferdinand and Isabella. Fired on cockspurs which marked the surface, the coagulation of the glaze in places on the rim indicates that they were fired upside down. |
