On the back, concentric bands in blue, orange and yellow and in the middle, in blue, the inscription.

Dish depicting Theseus with Pirithous and Lelex feasted by the river-god Achelous. Theseus and his companions are seated with the god at a repast of fish at a table beneath a rock, whilst two tritions serve them out of shells. On the back, concentric bands in blue, orange and yellow and in the middle, in blue, the inscription.

Translation
The good Theseus takes his leave, wishing to continue on his journey, and Achelous, to keep him with him, causes his stream to swell.
