Tin glazed earthenware plate depicting the burial of Leucothoe. In front of a low wall Leucothoe is seen in an open grave with a torch burning above it and a youth on the right shovelling earth upon her. Cupid flies above holding a veil. To the left stand her father and mother, a mitred priest and another man beside a house. On the back, concentric circles in yellow and, in black, the inscription '1540 Sottrata Leucothoe dal padre uiua. X'.

Physical description
Tin glazed earthenware plate depicting the burial of Leucothoe.
