Ewer, rock crystal with enamelled gold and silver-gilt mounts, engraved, Italian, 17th century, mounts of lip and foot 19th century
Physical description
Ewer, crystal. The upper part of the body engraved with festoons of fruit and grotesques, and carved with a winged mask in relief, the lower part engraved with water-fowl and a fish among waves. The lip, stem, and rim of the foot are of silver-gilt, repoussé, and chased. The handle is mounted with enamelled gold.
