Inlaid earthenware. Formed by a sexagonal pedestal with an opening in each panel, through which are discernible three youthful figures with their arms interlaced. The base consists of lions' heads alternating with classic busts, and joined by festoon. The surface inlaid with arabesques and other devices in brown on a pale yellow or cream coloured ground, the festoons touched with green.

This salt cellar, with three male figures hidden inside the structure, is one of the most architectural examples of Saint-Porchaire ceramics.
