Brief description | A Spanish gold mounted dress sword with cross-shaped handle and tapering, double-edged blade, half of flattened hexagonal section, the remainder etched with foliage and inscriptions on both sides; 'Fa. 1845. De Toledo', and 'Ano 1845 De Toledo'. The hilt bears the Spanish royal arms on each face, and on one side a tablet engraved 'Charte De 1830'. With original black leather scabbard with gold locket and chape, with French import marks of 1845. |
