Fragment of a panel of embroidered linen-canvas with wool and silk in flamestitch. Open weave and embroidered in shades of brown, pink, yellow, green and cream. Flare or Florentine stitch.

With a zig zag pattern worked through all the colours with two lines of long and two lines of short stitches. The horizontal repeat of the zig zag stitch line is not visible in this fragment, nor are the vertical and horizontal repeats of the large coloured zig zags that overlay it.
