Object history | When the chairs were re-upholstered in 1979, it became apparent that they had only ever been reupholstered twice. The previous time was a Fortuny fabric of ca. 1920, a panel of which was given to the Textile dept. They are therefore now considered to be reproductions, according to the condition report on the two objects, made at the time of acquisition. Two feet have also been restored. |
