Chain of the Chief Baron of the Exchequer, gold, ca. 1660.
Physical description
Chain, made up of twenty-five openwork gold knots, each terminating in four tassels alternating with twenty-six thistle blossoms forming S-shapes; the Tudor Rose clasp is attached to the chain links by portcullises on either side.
