Paperweight: An oval plaque fixed to a cartouche-shaped plinth. Rome, micromosaic, glass, alabaster, ca.1825.
Physical description
An oval plaque fixed to a cartouche-shaped plinth, both of blond hardstone, with a small central oval mosaic bordered in blue glass. The scene portrays ancient Roman ruins.
