Plaque with micromosaic of flowers, Rome, 1850-75.
Physical description
Cartouche-shaped black marble plaque with a central round micromosaic depiction of a colourful bouquet of flowers and leaves on a black background and with a narrow border in four gradations of yellow, the edge of the plaque incised and wrapped with a braided gilt-metal rope, tied at the top for hanging.
