Étagère with three micromosaic plaques, Micromosaic, marble, malachite, gilt bronze, gilt brass. Cesare Roccheggiani, Rome, 1850-1900.
Physical description
A gilt three-level stand, the top with a hinged, silk-lined jewellery case with glass on three sides, and supporting a round mirror with candle-holders on each side. The three tiers have shelves consisting of rectangular black marble plaques, the lower two with central oval mosaics of monuments within a further band of malachite, the top with a central mosaic floral bouquet.
