Earring


The necklace appears to be based on one depicted in Sir Edward Poynter's paintings of Helen of Troy, executed in 1881 and 1887 (see M.9-2011), but it differs in certain respects. The beads in the related necklace in Poynter's paintings are coral and the gold elements are composed of two rows of spheres rather than the four in Giuliano's necklace.
